Arguably the most versatile of all lift trucks, the telescopic handler gets its name from its horizontaly mounted "telescopic mast". With its range of lifting and reaching abilities and wide range of attatchments, coupled with its all terrain design there is not much the telehandler can't manage. It does have industrial applications but it's prodominantly found in agriculture and construction.
